One day prior to departing with the Davis Cup team to Kharkov, I visited a concert by Dutch singer VanVelzen. I bought the tickets as a Christmas present for my brother, sister, girlfriend, her sister and brother. I knew that everyone became a fan of him since the show “the Voice of Hollandâ€. When I saw him advertising his concert tour at a Dutch TV show, I decided to buy tickets.
The concert was in Hilversum which is close to Amsterdam, where I needed to fly from the next day. Normally, concerts mean that there are thousands of people and there is only singing. However, this show was different. The concert hall was less big and there was much more interaction with the audience. That´s why it was called a theater tour, and it was definitely a great experience.
VanVelzen started with a nice story and good music. I knew more songs than I thought I would. The show lasted a long time, but it did not bore me at any moment. It´s definitely worth the while to see him and his band play.
I needed to get up at 5am the next morning. I therefore left right after the concert was over, in order to get some solid hours of sleep. Therefore, I could not meet VanVelzen, which is a shame. Hopefully, I will manage to do so next time. I will definitely go to another concert of his.
